We are wild/We are domesticated, SHoP Camp, Southside Hub of Production
Co-produced a 3-week camp experience for adult and child artists in public parks, the Hyde Park Art Center, and the home of SHoP founder, Laura Shaeffer. The theme of the camp explored the spectrum from wildness to domesticity for young people, testing boundaries of order, comfort, rights and responsibilities. Projects included tent and fort building, shadow theater, selling artwork in public and costume making. Additionally, I interacted with participants in character as Mather Seerlo, both in person, through Skype and through mail art, exploring long distance mentoring.
